"The end. Triptych"
"The End. Triptych" was made for the From the Ashes Exhibition at Raritan Valley Community College. It showcases an apocalyptic outcome of our world. The top left, "Silhouette" showcases a figure with a gas mask, watching as the apocalypse begins. The middle, "Forest" showcases a forest fire, the doom spreading slowly across the land. The lower right, "Face" is a close up of a survivor who may not have much time left.

The three pieces not only showcase the beginning, middle, and end, but also experiment with different artistic styles. Silhouette is done in a graphic style, similar to that of a panel in a comic book with dark contrast. Forest is done in an impressionistic style, utilizing the paint knife, one of my favorite tools. Finally, Face is meant to lean more into realism, reflecting the reality of the situation.

Climate change is real, the threat of nuclear war is looming over us, and who knows where the world will end up with Trump as president of the United States.
